The Only Constant is Change

It’s an exciting time around these parts.

Business seems to be picking up. The podcast is rocking and rolling. I’m having a ball with the #30vids30days youtube challenge.

And there’s that baby coming soon too.

So as if there wasn’t enough stuff going on, it’s also time to completely overhaul the website.

Change for the Better

This website has been great for me, and has really helped me grow to this point. But it’s time for the change. With the podcast launch, and the video creation, I just can’t do everything I need to do on this version of WordPress. I’ll save you all the technical details, especially since I don’t even know all of the technical details, but if you don’t hear from me within a week or so please check out The website address should be staying the same, but if you have subscribed to the blog via email or followed it via wordpress, there may be some issues with continuing to get those notifications.

So if you could check back on Monday or Tuesday (everything should be spruced up by then), you should see a whole new layout that will help me to continue to grow and expand. And I’ll also be giving away a free book on the site, so you might as well come check that out as well.

If, however, you’d like a reminder to check out the new site when it is up, I can do that for you too. Simply follow me on twitter, or like me on Facebook, and I’ll be sending out messages on those forums when the site is alive and well. Or just shoot me a quick email (dkfitsolutions @ gmail {dot} com) asking for the reminder, and I’ll send a quick reply when everything is good to go.

Thanks Guys

Ultimately, I have to thank you guys for making this transition necessary. If y’all weren’t taking the time to read my posts, leave me comments, listen to my podcasts, or interact in a variety of other ways I wouldn’t have continued to grow and expand to the point where this change is necessary.

Y’all rock.

And I hope you’ll continue rocking with me at the “New & Improved” DK FitSolutions as well.

YouTube Challenge

You know I’m a sucker for peer pressure and a challenge.

So this month, my twitter buddy and awesome podcast host Chris Cerrone laid down a challenge on his show–30 YouTube videos in 30 days for the month of April. There are no rules, just everyone has to upload a new video each day.

I’d actually been thinking about trying to get some videos out there recently, so this challenge was the perfect way for me to take the leap into the deep end and worry about swimming once I got there.

Now that I’m in the pool, it’s not quite as scary as I thought it would be. Sure, I’m a fairly incapable dog-paddler, but I’m not taking on any water at the moment. And hopefully, but the end of the month, I’ll be able to swim a few laps and have learned the finer points of the flip turn.

So anyway, here’s my first video. And if you’d like to follow along with my daily recordings, check me out on YouTube or Vimeo!

Chug-A-Lug–Monthly Mission April 2014

This month, my Monthly Mission is to crawl into a bottle of gin and drink my way out!

See You in May!

April Fools!

Though if anyone wants to send me a bottle of Tanqueray, I’ll gladly toast to you!

But this month, my mission will include a bit of daily chugging.

For the next 30 days, I’ll be having a glass of freshly juiced fruits and vegetables every day. While I’ve dabbled in juicing before, I’ve never been able to handle the strong taste of the veggies in the juice.

But this month I’ll be sucking it up and slamming it down.

As much as I promote and believe in healthy living and eating a real food diet, I know that I don’t eat enough vegetables every day. I love fruits, and eat a fair amount of fruit, but veggies just don’t do it as much for me. I’ll have some greens here and there, and the garden is still producing broccoli, but I’m just not on fire about eating 4-6 servings of veggies each day. So it’s time to try and get some more green into my diet, and I’ll be firing up the juicer in order to do so. I know for the first few weeks I’ll absolutely have to incorporate some fruits into the juice in order to keep the flavor palatable, but hopefully by the end of the month the juice will be mostly green.

We will see how it goes.

And if any of you have any experience in juicing and wouldn’t mind giving me some tips, please let me know!

And seriously, feel free to send me some gin.

What Are You Doing for Your Monthly Mission in April?
